Application Hints/TipsNow that you have explored our website, we hope that you are excited about the many opportunities available within the largest defence company in Europe. If you are keen to make one of these opportunities your own, submitting an application is your first chance to market yourself to us. We receive thousands of application forms every year, and you will need to give plenty of time and thought to make sure yours stands out. Here, though, are a few tips to help. - When you prepare your application, think carefully about the role you are interested in and your skills.
- Use plain English – you are making a case for yourself and this should come over clearly.
- Stick to the word limit, compressing sections into shorter paragraphs if necessary.
- Give full details of your degree modules and relevant final year projects. Recruiting managers will want to see exactly what you have done at university and how this fulfils what they are looking for.
- Make sure you've filled in all the sections of the application and answer each question fully, particularly in the 'Personal Achievements’ section. Your application is screened against competencies, so present clear evidence of how you possess all the behaviours we require. Give specific examples and answer the open-ended questions – what, why, how, etc.
- Before you submit your application, proof-read it carefully, paying particular attention to grammar and spelling.
